Dr. Clifford Hayes is Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Illinois. His pastoral focus is church revitalization and spiritual development of leaders. He concentrated his studies for his Doctor of Ministry degree in mediation and conflict resolution and has served as a community mediator for the Suffolk County Court System, and as a divorce mediator for the Long Island Council of Churches Counseling Services – both in N.Y. Since 1999, Clifford has pursued extensive training in Family Systems in Congregations, including Healthy Congregation Facilitator Training. He has taught classes for the purpose of framing new perspectives since 1998. Additionally, Clifford has instituted a narrative/storytelling component into processes of leadership development, believing that the telling and the hearing of personal stories provide opportunities for defining a historical perspective, building consensus, and fostering healing within the church community.
Pamela Hayes' technology interest began as a child, nurtured by her Sci-Fi author grandfather. She reorganized the computer lab at the International Institute of Akron for use in teaching English as a Second Language. Her interest in technology has grown from practical use in the retail store she owned to her current work in web design and technology. Pamela received extensive training in the Multi-dimensional Learning Model, and she launched the program in the Akron church's Christian Education program in 1999. She has studied Family Systems in Congregations, incorporating systems theory into her multimedia work. Since moving to Springfield, Pamela has taken thirty credit hours of training in web design at Lincoln Land Community College and put that knowledge to use in a variety of ways, including designing and maintaining First Presbyterian Church's website.
